Week 9, day 1, Rubber Boot Journalist. The answer to Friday’s question is bees have five eyes–two compound eyes and three tiny ocelli eyes. Do you know what the four stages of bee development? Tune in tomorrow for the answer.

Week 9, day 2, Rubber Boot Journalist.  The answer to yesterday’s question is the four stages of bee development are egg, larvae, pupae and adult bee. Do you know what bees use their honeycomb for?
 

Week 9, day 3, Rubber Boot Journalist. The answer to yesterday’s question is bees use the honeycomb for to raise their babies in, and to store nectar, honey, pollen and water. Did you know bees are the only insect in the world that make food that humans can eat?

 

Week 9, day 4, Rubber Boot Journalist. Do you know how long bees have been in existence? Tune in tomorrow for the answer.
 

Week 9, day 5, Rubber Boot Journalist was racing around taking photos and meeting deadlines and didn’t make it posting yesterday. Was covering a tornado! For those of you not on the west coast this is big news here. We rarely see them. Covered on a couple of years ago that damaged some nut orchards just like this one did. and the answer to yesterday’s question is honeybees have been in existence for 30 million years.
